) ]3 J, {) |7 t: b, ]　　杨帆的航船，
2 S7 [( F9 h- j2 S$ B) E　　an opening flower,
　　绽放的鲜花，
4 }- I7 S! I; c  {　　a town at night,
　　夜幕中的小镇，
. S" s) b; T4 J; W) [　　the song of the blackbird,
/ [! {( e" E. r　　优美的诗行，
- _8 H& E( b( ~% P  W4 ]0 O, I! M　　a lovely poem,
4 o. e+ u  w8 T0 d' ]2 v/ m' }　　可爱的诗人

　　a child’s grace,
　　孩童的烂漫，

　　漫天的繁星
　　apple trees in spring,
　　春天的果树，
　　sheep-bells on a hill,

　　一道潺潺流水，
　　a butterfly,
　　一只蝴蝶 ，
　　the crescent moon,

" K, [- x5 S$ ?, A$ l; ?' ^) u# c: j　　that evoke in us the thought of beauty —
　　这些使我们潜生美感的万千景象，音籁和词句
7 f4 N! [( z% _　　these are the drops of rain
　　that keep the human spirit from death by drought.
　　仿佛雨露般滋润着我们干涸的心田。
$ a5 e7 a: J3 q- ?+ V　　They are a stealing and silent refreshment
# H: {" Z5 N; \; _  o# d　　它们悄然而来
　　that we perhaps do not think about,
　　在我们不经意中荡涤尘寰
　　but which goes on all the time.
' P" G6 U- t3 a8 q　　绵延不断
　　Beauty is the smile on the earth’s face,
　　美是大地的笑容，
　　open to all, and needs but the eyes to see,
/ B8 _0 u8 S% ~　　the mood to understand.
