In English, we use different types of "punctuations" as follows:

. }& w3 p0 ?" T9 cWe put "full-stop" at the end of a sentence.
( h) i1 ]/ {: T' m5 ~% p4 B) G我們會在句子的最尾加上句號。
: h2 r$ ~! V- L; ^' N( T1 kWe may also put "full-stop" after specific words like "Mr.", "Mrs." or "Dr."
我們也可在特定的名稱後加上句號。

( Y! I+ O- K0 j2 v" E(2) Comma　(逗號) - " , "
We put "comma" in a sentence to separate different parts of it.
7 D: y$ w- g: R1 E* H2 }1 w! X; _9 ]我們會在句子中間用逗號把不同部份分開。

(3) Question mark　(問號) - " ? "
4 z/ D" v8 O  S) w/ l  {We put "question mark" at the end of a question.
我們會在問題句的最後加上問號。

We put "exclamation mark" at the end of a sentence to emphasize the meanings.
+ T9 ^* l4 X/ `" C4 U3 W% f4 E: S% Z我們會用感嘆號來加重句子的語氣。

9 p9 f; R- e* i* j+ S6 J* X(5) Inverted commas　(引號) - " 　　"  or　'　　'
We use "inverted commas" to quote specific words spoken by someone.

! I0 B) t9 L4 r5 A0 AWe use this punctuation to express that a thing belongs to a certain person or some people.
  r# A) W* {4 t* e9 L我們用這個標點符號來表示一個東西是屬於某人或某些人的。

(7) Colon　(冒號) - " : "
( I7 F' g4 y: t) K; B. A6 EWe use "colon" to express some examples.
我們用冒號來帶出句子中的例子。

(8) Semi-colon　(分號) - " ; "
We can use "semi-colon" to separate two short sentences which have similar meanings.
我們用分號來把兩個意思接近的短句分開。

1 X9 n  U7 q2 E+ e0 Y% A- P! n8 \We use "dash" in a sentence to emphasize an explanation or a part of a sentence.
