(1) When an action was happening during a period of time in the past, we use "Past Continuous Tense".5 c B$ V3 k) h: y. p% ^

(2) When we change the verb into "Past Continuous Tense" form, we write the verb in the following ways:

(3) Usually, we use the "Past Continuous Tense" with the "Simple Past Tense" and we would use "when" or "while" to join the two actions in the sentence.
