In English, we use different types of "punctuations" as follows:

We put "full-stop" at the end of a sentence.

5 q/ d3 p* p- R- {7 SWe may also put "full-stop" after specific words like "Mr.", "Mrs." or "Dr."
. O$ e3 H) X; P9 \我們也可在特定的名稱後加上句號。

(2) Comma　(逗號) - " , "
8 e, g: M! }8 m) JWe put "comma" in a sentence to separate different parts of it.
我們會在句子中間用逗號把不同部份分開。

We put "question mark" at the end of a question.

/ r8 a: m& d# lWe put "exclamation mark" at the end of a sentence to emphasize the meanings.
我們會用感嘆號來加重句子的語氣。

' L$ r3 X- G) S. v) U- m1 v(5) Inverted commas　(引號) - " 　　"  or　'　　'
: {# g3 g, g# b, K$ OWe use "inverted commas" to quote specific words spoken by someone.

$ k+ K6 Q; W1 ?We use this punctuation to express that a thing belongs to a certain person or some people.
7 Z" \  F7 L9 l# }! P  }) @我們用這個標點符號來表示一個東西是屬於某人或某些人的。

(7) Colon　(冒號) - " : "
! R$ P$ V2 k' I, n7 U. }, \7 S' zWe use "colon" to express some examples.
$ u, t1 m+ z0 w: x我們用冒號來帶出句子中的例子。

(8) Semi-colon　(分號) - " ; "
We can use "semi-colon" to separate two short sentences which have similar meanings.
我們用分號來把兩個意思接近的短句分開。

(9) Dash　(破折號) - " - "
- O" L" F  b! sWe use "dash" in a sentence to emphasize an explanation or a part of a sentence.
