In English, we use different types of "punctuations" as follows:
在英文裡面有不同的標點符號:

(1) Full-stop　(句號) - " . "
We put "full-stop" at the end of a sentence.
我們會在句子的最尾加上句號。
We may also put "full-stop" after specific words like "Mr.", "Mrs." or "Dr."
+ k1 V1 |, u2 n: ]1 J我們也可在特定的名稱後加上句號。

) Z9 \0 D% S5 F* J8 YWe put "comma" in a sentence to separate different parts of it.
" O0 v5 A  u2 J6 S我們會在句子中間用逗號把不同部份分開。

(3) Question mark　(問號) - " ? "
We put "question mark" at the end of a question.

We put "exclamation mark" at the end of a sentence to emphasize the meanings.
我們會用感嘆號來加重句子的語氣。

(5) Inverted commas　(引號) - " 　　"  or　'　　'
We use "inverted commas" to quote specific words spoken by someone.

We use "colon" to express some examples.

(8) Semi-colon　(分號) - " ; "
We can use "semi-colon" to separate two short sentences which have similar meanings.
我們用分號來把兩個意思接近的短句分開。

(9) Dash　(破折號) - " - "
We use "dash" in a sentence to emphasize an explanation or a part of a sentence.
我們用破折號來強調句子中一個解釋或一個句子的部份。
